The Best Kept Secret in L.A.

Mucho Pity if You Don't Live Here...

Don't hate, I know it's lame to post something that you can only enjoy if you're in L.A., but if you ever get the chance to eat here, you'll see why I'm compelled to post! My friends and I have been eating here since the 90's, way back when we'd nevvvvver go to the Valley... "Where? Over Laurel Canyon? The 170? Where's that? All the way out there?" Even though Studio City is a mere 15 minute drive, it was way too far out of our zip code. But, trek we did, and only for Leonor's! They fancy themselves a vegetarian mexican restaurant, but that will confuse when you look at the menu. I don't really know how to describe the food, I don't know who owns it or how the hell they came up with the menu. All I know is that if I lived next door, I'd eat here every day. The vegetarian chicken salad, a huge portion, is one of the tastiest things ever and the veggie chicken enchilada is my abso fave thing to eat of all time! The warm forever young bread... what is it? I don't know! It's a gift from heaven! Oh dear, yum! The place is tiny, only a few tables and it's in a parking lot the size of my bathroom. When you walk in, you definitely feel confused by the look and the size, but it truly is L.A.'s best kept secret. We pick it up for dinner about once a week and I love it when I get a text from my brother and his girl saying, "wanna meet us at Leonor's?" Um, YES!!!! If you're in L.A., check it! If not... I'm deeply sorry. Now, I shall go eat my leftover veg-chicken salad for brunch!
